Let's face it, it's not every day that you go shopping for a wedding dress. The day you shop and find your wedding dress is really something to celebrate, and we have some tips that will help make this day even more of a success for you! There are actually a few things you can do before your appointment to make the process go a lot smoother and even help you feel stress-free while you search! Let's get into it...

BROWSE THROUGH EVERMORE'S INSTAGRAM PAGE & SCREENSHOT A FEW STYLES YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO TRY:
Our Instagram is one of the best places to see exactly what dresses we offer in our collection. We feature our dresses on models and real brides to give you inspiration for your own wedding day look. Seeing how our dresses fit and move in videos is so helpful before you shop. It's the best feeling to be able to try on the exact dresses that are in your inspo photos! We love it when brides bring in photos from our Instagram, not to mention it is SO helpful to us as your stylist to know what you are interested in before you even start trying on different styles!
DECIDE ON YOUR DESIRED PRICE RANGE & KNOW WHO IS PAYING FOR YOUR DRESS:
This is vital for you to have a successful appointment. Make sure you talk through what you want to spend on your dress that way you don't try on any that are out of your price point. The last thing we want as stylists is for you to fall in love with a dress that isn't an option for you financially. Also, have a plan ahead of time for who is paying for your dress! Is it you? Is it your mom? Is it your grandma? If you all are splitting the price, make sure to figure out how much everyone is wanting to chip in! This helps relieve stress so much day of appointment!
CONSIDER WHO YOU WANT TO BRING WITH YOU TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Who you bring to your appointment is so important! Your group can really serve to make or break your shopping experience. Make sure you bring the people that you know will be supportive and loving every step of the way! These people are willing to put their opinions aside for the dress to be everything that YOU want it to be. It can be really tempting to bring a large group, but we've learned from experience at Evermore that the smaller the group is, it's typically the better for the bride!

MAKE A PINTEREST BOARD FOR YOUR WEDDING VIBE/STYLE:
If there is one thing that we need as your stylist, it's some direction. Although you might not know exactly what type of dress you're looking for, being able to show us where you are getting married, the overall feel of your wedding day, the color palette, the decor inspo, anything and everything you can provide us with will give us some direction as we help you start your dress search. This helps so much when it comes time to narrow down your favorite styles because you have a vision to compare the gowns to. We will make sure to pull dresses that fit right into your Pinterest board while also using our expertise to pull some options that you might not've considered!
EAT A GOOD MEAL BEFORE YOU SHOP:
Too many times brides will skip meals before their appointment... don't be that bride. Make sure to eat! You want to be able to focus and fully be present at your appointment, not letting your hunger make you want to rush through your time! Not to mention, you should love your dress and feel comfortable in it post meal because you'll also want to eat on your wedding day!

COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT PREPARED TO SAY YES:
The best advice we can give you as stylists is to allow yourself to say YES to your dream dress, even if it's at your first appointment! It is not uncommon for brides to find THE dress during their first time shopping! Trust that you have done your research and picked a dress shop that specializes in the style that you are looking for. Going to too many places and trying on tons of dresses can cause you to be overwhelmed and make the experience unenjoyable, rather than easier.
You've got this, bride to be! Take some time, breathe, do the prep work, and help make this the best experience ever! We are so honored to be a small part of your big day!
Ready to do this thing? Come on in!
